A Miami native and the middle of seven children to Haitian immigrant parents, Derby grew up with a strong sense of community and family values. Residing in Ocala, Florida, with his wonderful wife Andrea and their cockapoo, Reece, they have established roots and are committed to making a positive impact.
Derby is a proud graduate of Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a minor in Business in 2009. Following graduation, he served in various capacities with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Mondelez International, receiving recognition for his stellar performances. Currently, Derby is a top-performing Financial Advisor with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he transforms lives daily.
He is an active member of the Florida A&M Alumni Association, the Marching 100 Alumni Association, Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity, Inc., and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. His diverse experiences and dedication to service have equipped him with the skills and passion to contribute meaningfully to the mission of mentoring the youth.
